Why AMI Matters
Not All Montessori Is Executed Equally
The word "Montessori" is not protected — anyone can use it. AMI is what guarantees authentic Montessori education.

At Serendipity, we hold ourselves to the highest standard. Here is what sets us apart.
- All Head Teachers hold recognized Early Childhood degrees as well as an AMI Diploma from the Association Montessori Internationale
- Fully equipped AMI classrooms for all age groups, offering scientifically designed materials, individualized learning pathways, and a holistic educational approach
- Each classroom (from 18 months onwards) is led by two full-time teachers: one English-speaking and one German-speaking
- Animals are part of our daily environment, fostering responsibility, empathy, and connection to nature
- A 450 m² natural garden, including a vegetable garden, a football field, a zen garden, providing rich outdoor learning opportunities
- Located within walking distance of Lake Zurich
- Weekly excursions to the forest to support exploration, resilience, and nature-based learning
- Certified by the Canton of Zurich and the Association Montessori Schweiz
- Curriculum aligned with both the AMI standards and the Lehrplan 21

Fascination Forest
Rain or shine, there is no bad weather. Weekly mornings in the forest — exploring nature, building resilience, and discovering the wonders of the natural world.
The Culinary Travelers
Channeling your inner chef and venturing into international cuisine — developing practical life skills, cultural awareness, and a love of good food.
Are You the Next Vivaldi?
Music and dance, daily exploration with rhythm, movement, sound — or creating your own masterpieces.
The Little Yogi
Enhancing flexibility, awareness, coordination, and concentration by practicing yoga — nurturing body and mind.
Montessori Work Period
Structured time where children follow their own curiosity — selecting activities, choosing academic materials, and developing independence through self-directed play.
Extended Care
Programs available until 6:00 PM — giving families the flexibility they need while the children enjoy guided activities, creative play, and a nurturing environment beyond the regular school hours.

A Montessori AMI 0-6 educator, mother of four and multilingual educator, who moved across the globe to help build Serendipity. With AMI diplomas for ages 0–6 and degrees in Early Childhood Education and Linguistics, Ms Callie brings a rare depth of personal and professional Montessori experience.

“Our son has been attending Serendipity for nearly 1 year in the toddler group. His growth in terms of language skills, problem-solving, independence and confidence has been remarkable. We are very happy with the school environment and culture. He is happy going to school each morning, loves to see his teachers Ms Hannah and Ms Elke, and little friends. He has so many fun adventures with his class - going to local cafe for babyccino, Christmas market, botanical garden to name a few, baking and they spend lots of time outside. When he arrives into school he is often greeted by several of the other teachers and administrators, all of whom know him by name.
